PSU ok?

i'm planning on buying a Raidmax Scorpio Case from new egg model #868WSP. New egg is selling this case with a 420W PSU. it doesn't say the mode or manufacturer of the PSU. How can i know if this PSU is ok? Any help would welll.......help!

Look at the pictures usually they show on them.

This case they do; its a RAID MAX. I think people say this is a ok brand. I would buy a Antec as I always have.

I'm not real sure about the quality of a RaidMax power supply, but a case and 420 watt power supply for only $56? That would make me think twice about using the power supply.

You could get the case, remove the RaidMax power supply and install a good quality 350 watt Fortron Source power supply ($36 at Newegg).

yea the price kind of baffled me to but i saw newegg was selling a p4 2.6ghz 800mhz fsb for 173....so i thought maybe the prices were just that good

You never ever want to use a no-name generic or low quality power supply in your computer. The power supply is a really important part of the computer that is often overlooked. Think about it...it powers everything in your computer. Wouldn't you want to have a good performing, reliable energy source to power your pride and joy? I know I do.

Poor quality power supplies that supply unclean or shaky power to the system can cause strange problems and in some cases, they can die suddenly and take out other components with them (like the motherboard, video card, RAM, etc...) I wouldn't want that to happen to my computer.

Get a good quality power supply to run your system with...it's a good investment.

picking the power supply that you want to put into your system is just as inportant as picking a pacemaker to be installed into you, same results.

yes 001 you are correct, but there a little pricey compared to other ones. And usually are 400W+ and for most people a 300w-350w will do.

Using a 300W Enermax, having no problems whatsoever. Came with this Case for only 54.00 USD...

Antec True Power 430. On sale at Best Buy(USA) for $80.00. I am sure you can find it cheaper, but nonetheless, I would go for an Antec. You can also find a 330 Watt Antec true power for around 50.00. It's worth every penny.

But no one really needs a 430 watt PSU for a typical home computer. Even a hard core gaming box shouldn't need one that big.

my antec 350w smart blue psu is all i need and for 50 bucks it is even better.dont skimp on the psu
