I just recently upgraded to an XP 2600+ Barton (333 fsb) with 512Mb Corsair DDR 400 RAM. My problem is that I can't seem to get them to clock at their intended speeds at the same time. If I set the CPU clock to 166 in order to get the full rating of the processor, then the ram only allows 166 also. If I set the ram to 200 like it's supposed to, then the CPU only goes to 100 or 133, etc. I've tried overclocking the CPU and adjusting the CPU/PCI divider and can get the CPU to clock at 200 (400fsb) with the ram at 200 (400Mhz) but then it won't even boot up when I save.

The Mobo manual says it supports both. It also says that the memory has to clock at the same speed or greater than the cpu.....NOT the other way around. So that doesn't make any sense to me either.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

I forgot to mention....when I overclock the CPU to get them to match, it also overclocks the PCI to 41 and AGP to 82, so this wouldn't be the desired route anyway since I don't really want to fry my components.

Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra

Here are some specs on it:

* Chipset Type: VIA KT400

* Chipset Description:
VIA KT400/8235 chipset
Supports 266/333 MHz FSB

* Memory Type: DDR400/333 SDRAM

* Memory Description:
Three DDR 2.5V DIMM sockets support up to 3GB (DDR 333/266/200, 2GB for DDR 400)
184-pin PC3200/PC2700/PC2100/PC1600 non-ECC, unbuffered DDR SDRAM memory

It came in a combo with the processor.
