Now that I'm all fired up with confidence, my newly built system switched on and fired up first time with no problems I've been thinking about next years project.

Question?

A twin Athlon MP system

OR

supercooled and overclocked single processor.

Pros and cons anyone?

What kind of things will you be doing with the computer?

A dual processor system would only be a better choice if you like to run multiple programs at once. It won't run "faster" than a single processor system running at the same processor speed.

I use graphics programs mainly, Photoshop, Cinema 4d and Maya for 3D work.

It'd be nice however to be able to play the latest games and stuff like that.

The dual processor option would help I guess if I was working with photoshop while my 3d app was ticking away in the background rendering the scene or animation I was currently working on.

Even running photoshop on the old Mesh system I've just consigned to the bottom of the wardrobe was a tedious business.

On top of everything of course is the desire for the biggest and best lol. :rolleyes:
