That temperature is perfectly normal. The last 2500+ system I built had the exact same CPU idle temp...system ran nice and stable, no problems at all.

Just for reference, 44C is just about 110 F. And no it's not that hot at all.
Relax and enjoy.
You might check your temp under load and see if it rises much.

From what I've learned here it isn't unless U start going above 60C degrees that U have to start being concerned about heat and consider a better HSF.

44C might be a little high; this computer [2600+] is showing 36C as I type this.

If it does not give you any problems, then do not worry about it. Temps are affected by a lot of variables suchs as ambient temp, size of case, case cooling, airflow around the case. You should have at least one exhaust fan for your case. Make sure you have wires, cables tied up out of the way of airflow. This will affect temps a great deal.

Yeah cricket is right. If u are not having any problems, dont worry. My 2500+ in my sig tops at 54C, and not a single problem. runs ausome:cool:

Like HpiSavage21 said, his computer is running fast and stable...that's all that matters.

Yes Cricket... I was playing Comanche 4 and quickly logged off restarted and my mother board was at 23 degrees celcius and my CPU core temperature was at 56 degrees's celcius..sometimes i get afraid that i can not game cuz of those high temperatures but liek Cricket said and I also said It it fast, stable ,no freeze ups as long as non of those occur i have no reason to be worried about teh temperature... :)

even though those temperatures are fine I still would like to replace my case fan with a new high performance one and also would like to get a new heatsink/fan combo for my CPU, my mom said to get it that she would pay :) lolz any recomendations..? thanks guys..

Just so you know, anytime you replace a regular fan with a faster one that moves more air, you get way more noise. If that's not a concern to you, take a look at the Delta fans or the Tornado fans from Vantec.

For the heatsink, take a look at the Thermaltake Volcano line or something from Thermalright. Get one that uses a 80mm fan.

Thank Cricket. When i booted it up this morning in teh bios teh CPU Temp was at 38 degrees celcius. Now when i was just surfing teh next i restarted to see something and i looked into bios and 50 degreess under no load whats up with that!?

The first temp was the idle temp...the temp when the CPU isn't doing much. When you use your computer, the CPU gets a work out and will heat up...that's why the temp was higher after the computer was on and being used.

Don't get too obsessed with your CPU and system temps...worrying about them all the time takes the fun out of using your computer. I used to try to get my temps lower and fiddled and tweaked endlessly and bought tons of different fans and heatsinks. After awhile I realized my computer ran exactly the same no matter how cool it got, so I stopped being a cooling freak and went about setting up my computer with less fans and less noise...I'm a much happier computer user now.

Thanks Cricket...So i shouldn't really worry about aftermarket fans and heatsinks? I should just organize my wires and make sure the fans cool air are getting to teh components..so 50 degrees celcius after running 2-3 hours is fine?

As long as your computer is running nice and stable, there's really nothing to worry about...just enjoy the speed of your new computer.
