My pc (specs below) was custom-built. I would like to upgrade my CPU and get the fastest P4 available for my system. Please correct me if I'm wrong but after doing a quick search, the fastest P4 that will work on my MoBo is the 3.06GHz, 512KB, 533MHz. Is this correct? Would I have to get a new MoBo in order for a P4 3.2 GHz , 800 MHz to work?

Thanks in adavance

Go online to your MB Mfg site and look it up.. If it will support that chip or not. Also read the BIOS flashing updates for that board .. their may be a BIOS flash available to make the chip compatible if the specs say no.. Seek and learn
