Alright i know this question is asked alot and i wouldnt ask it except im running a P4 and this is almost always an AMD question. So anyway im looking for a new heatsink/fan for my P4 CPU. I want better than stock cooling, fairly silent (id say 21 db or less) and looks nice. For some reason after i overclocked my cpu my temps jumped, well yea thats common but i mean i lowered it back to stock and im still getting higher temps than i was before. I used to sit around 43c and now it idles at 47c, but anyway under load now im getting in the 60c range which is hotter than it used to get underload. Also i got my case lookin pretty spiffy inside so i dont want a huge ugly cooler on it, not to mention i dont have the space for a large cooler. Heres a link to pics so you can see how little room i have. http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=viewall&albumID=92764286

In my experience, I swapped my stock aluminum HSF w/thermal pad (AMD) for a Thermalright copper based/aluminum HSF w/OCZ Ultra2 (very similar to Arctic Silver3) and my cpu idle temps dropped 11C immediately. I think the copper really makes a difference, much better at absorbing the heat away from the cpu die.

Yep lil jimmie you inspired me to go with the chrome looming, after seeing your sweet setup. Doesnt look as good as yours tho, I think its cuz my tower is so small, everythings kinda squished in there.

Thanks for the links Cricket im checkin them out now.
