hello ~
Im having some cooling probs...hehe...
well i've checked some of the posts and found out that my temp. is alright...however, i'd like to make some changes....
currently my cpu temp. is 120 F and stays pretty stable..~
but i'd like to get a new headsink? (i think thats wat its called)
I have a socket A motherboard...its a PC Chips, M810 L...
i was wondering if you guys can suggest some "quiet" heatsinks, but also can help reduce my temp. a bit..
thanks...

I've used the Noise Control Silverado with good results.

What is your current heatsink? What you percieve as quiet will vary greatly based upon what you are currently using.
These are my top 3 suggestions:
1. Speeze Falconrock
2. Thermaltake Silent Boost
3. Vantec Aeroflow

Can you describe your current case fan set up too.
Are your cables and wires routed neatly away from the CPU/heatsink area?

I would suggest a Thermaltake Silent Boost also. I just recieved mine and as soon as I put it in with a comobation of a thin layer of Artic Silver thermal compund my temps are LOW when Im gaming. Just make sure you clean off the cpu core/heatsink before you put a new cpu fan/heatsink on with a little alcoholl, Clean it well and once you have done that apply a extremely thin layer of thermal compund.

HpiSavage21 --> thanks for the great advise !
mc2phat --> i'm likn the Silverado ..even sounds good...!
Cricket --> well, im new to the whole computer world and what not...hehe...but i just started modding, i've tried to get the wires out of the way of the heatsink fan...and done wat "I" thought is the best for airflow...and the power suppy cables are some what in a neat fashion...after doing this this temp. droped by 7-10 F ...!! ~ so it seems to be working alright ..~
i kinda wanna learn to overclock...my friend just gave me his old HP...so im on the reseach for that..i dunno if you guys oc..~ anyways thanks a bunch for the advice...i'll be posting more about random stuff hehe...please help in the furture too !

You can attach a picture by pressing the 'post reply' button next to the thread, and then toward the bootm of the page there is a place on the page that allows you to post your attachnments. You may have to make the size of the picture smaller....
Also there is a thread pertaining to people's pictures of thier Pc's:
