Mail and Kmail

set up Kmail,and can recieve and send messages now...except from my friends who are still on aol??any idea??

Interesting. It shouldn't really matter. E-mail is generally sent either as HTML or as plain text, and kmail does both very well. Try having them send e-mail to you as plain text once and see if that makes a difference.

Other than that, maybe try a different mail client. Opera and Mozilla each have built in e-mail clients that work very well. Plus, they have built in spam filtering as well. That's why I gave up on Kmail myself and swiched to Mozilla.
