gaming system in micro atx case?

Would it be possible, if i got a new mobo and psu to put it together with my current system? Or can you not get enough power for all the stuff?

It's possible, but mATX power supplies are hard to come by for high wattages, the largest I've ever seen was 300w. And you'll have to get a mATX motherboard which by their nature have less slots and features on them. You should have no trouble with drives, every mATX case I've seen has room for at least 2 optical and 3 3.5" drives.

Plus working around in tiny mATX cases is just not fun, but if you don't mind then go for it.

Yeah, you could definitely do it. A 300w PSU is fine for what would fit into a mATX case. There are a lot of companies that make low profile versions of their cards. I'm pretty sure Aopen makes low-profile sounds cards, and there are a bunch of GF4 low profile video cards.

I put a system together recently that could be used as a gamer if you added a good video card and maybe an extra fan. Used an Antec SLK1600 (beige) from Newegg for $57. Comes with a 300Watt quality psu. Mobo was an Asus P4P800-VM which is an 865 Chipset, Micro ATX with onboard sound, video and lan. Used a P4 2.4C and Kingston Value Ram. You could add an ATI 9600 Pro to that system and enjoy yourself. The onboard sound rocks. Here's a link to the mobo
