Hope this thread is in the right forum.

Has anyone heard or even use a HEC psu before?

I know that Antec, Sparkle are the recommended ones here in the forum but here in Singapore, the more 'popular' ones are the HEC.

A 350watts Antec psu would cost me around SGD$85. with the same amount i could get myself a 425watts dual fan/ball bearing (dont know whether the dual fan and the balls would make a difference) HEC psu.

Hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks in Advance.

HEC does actually make good quality PSU's. However, the extra wattage isn't always what you need to look for. In this case, though, it is fine.

edit:
As for the fans, you want ball bearing fans in a PSU. Brushless fans will be very quiet to start with, but will get louder within a year of constant use, and become unbearable or unusable within 1-2 years. (typically) The ball bearing fans will last for a much longer time, and will stay fairly consistent as far as their noise output.

Yes, HEC power supplies are very good units to use...their quality is about the same as Antec, Enermax, Fortron Source and Sparkle Power.

And I agree with Mr N8, you really don't need a 425 watt PSU when a 350 watt one will do.
