I just bought an Antec PlusView100AMG case and I need to buy a powersupply, I found one for 84 bucks, its a antec and it is 480watts, is that too much? should I go for a 350watt instead?

The 350W would be plenty for a regular system, especially if it's a good name brand like Antec, Enermax, Enlight, or Sparkle. You want quality watts, not "unstable but boo-koo wattage". Go for a good brand 300-350 watt and you'll be fine. I'm not familiar with that particular case...are you sure it doesn't come with a power supply? I know some Antecs do but I don't know about that model specifically.

yeah it doesnt come with a power supply i just got it yesterday. but the 480watt was antec also, it is TRUEBLUE or w/e with the blue led for 84 bucks but I saw a antec 350watt SMARTBLUE w/ the blue led too for 44 bucks, so which should I get? and the case is here. http://www.antec-inc.com/pro_details_enclosure.php?ProdID=90510

As long as they're both Antec, I'd save some $$$ and go with the cheaper 350W. Like I said, it'll easily power a normal system. All the 480W would be good for is if you're building a system with a crapload of drives & lights in it (well, that and running your electric bill up a few cents more a month :D). But yeah, if it's the *usual* amount of components, just go with the 350W and you'll be fine.

You really don't need a 480 watt power supply, the 350 watt Antec will work fine.
