I have been having trouble getting the interent to work on all of the distro's I've tried, (Redhat, Mandrake, Fedora). I am using a Netgear USB wireless adapter, MA101. If I bought a USB to Ethernet adapter and ran the wireless adapter through the ethernet port to my NIC card, would that work in getting an internet connection?

I think I made this more confusing than I should have. Is there anyway to connect a USB wirelss adpater to the Cat5 internet port on a computer with or with adapters, shy of buying another router and just using the Cat5 connections.

i don't think so, i think it just goes right into usb. if there is an adapter, i have never seen it. the only wireless stuff i have seen is usb and pci, but i could be wrong.

I've found adapters that go from Cat5 to USB but not the other way around as I want. But I guess if you could do it the way I'm talking about why have wireless USB at all and just have wrieless ethernet. I guess I will have to figure out how to get Linux Rehat to recognize a netgear usb wireless adapter or break down buy another wireless that is compatable. Thanks.
