I have a few questions on mods, what they do and how they work:

Lighted Fan Grill: Where does it go? How does it fit on(screws required?) Where does it get its power from?

Lighted Fans: Do they run their power from the same source as the fan? do they take a lot of power to run? Is cathode much different than LED ... and are there other types other than these 2?

UV Fans: Do these take power or are they just luminescent?

Coloured Leads - Is it worth getting these over standard ones to match colours within the box?

Metal grills: Same kinda question as lighted fan grills.. how does it fit on?

Coloured Drives - Is this worth it? If you dont buy a coloured drive can you actualy spraypaint or afix any covers/stickers/something to them to change their colour?

Neon vs Cathode - technicaly what is the difference?
... and astheticaly what is the difference?

Coloured Keyboards - Can you make your own through spray paintinting or is it best to buy one pre-painted?

Cases: What makes a good case? Space... Transparency... Functions(sliding panels, temp displays, time etc)... Colours... Metal/Plastic...What you think?

Case Skins: Is this something many guys use?

case Badges: Useful? Worthless?

Lighted Fan Grill-Attaches to fan with screws
Lighted Fans -Everything runs from the Power Supply
UV Fan -Uses no power
Colored Leads -Personal preference, I like them myself.
Metal Grills -Attaches to fan with screws
Colored drives -Personal preference. Yes, they can be painted
Colored keyboards-I don't know.
Cases -Mostly personal preference. Space is important for circulation. Rounded metal corners for safety.
Case skins -Personal preference
Case Badges Personal preference
I hope I have answered some of your questions.
I'm sure there will be some better answers.

You can color your own keyboard, most people use vinyl dye for coloring plastic. The only problem is getting the symbols printed on each key to stay visible. You can redo the symbols yourself after painting, but it would be a pain. Or you could paint all of the keyboard but the keys, but that would look a little lame.

"UV Fan -Uses no power"

No they do not light up by themselves, they need a UV cathode to light up, they sell fan grilles that have built in uv lights which connect to the fan via screwes. And that goes for anything that is UV.
