So to summarise, Alienware will charge you

$15,612.00 for their most advanced gaming system... providing you buy all the equipment and ignore any software bundles
$1,485.00 for their basic gaming system providing you with all the equipment and hardware you need but avoiding software
$1,286.00 for their basic, basic gaming system - you dont get sound cards, video cards etc with this option

So to summarise, Alienware will rip your heart out given enough leverage :)

Geez, you could buy one of those small Japanese electro-cars for the price of that first system! Ooooo, and they even throw in a free white t-shirt too! Heheh, the other systems have black t-shirts...wonder what's so great about the white t-shirt that you have to spend $15,000+ to get it?

What do you need 2 30" LCD screens for?

WOW! You guys have some time on your hands! hehe... :D What a rip off from Alienware though. Who would pay $15,000+ for a computer... Not I...

Indeed :D
The Max seems round 15,000... I really like thier cases (Although it doesn't quite justify overpaying for the system when Spec wise I can build a better machine for the same price...

cmon now thats not even fair lol. im not disagreeing with you in saying you should pick alienware, personally id rather build my own. but 15k is with 2 30" screens that are about 4000 dollars a piece. take the 7500 dollars off that 15 grand and use a basic 18" and its still expensive but you got a lot of ****. and that basic $1289 you said had no video card...but you posted the specs with an fx5200. if your going to make a valid point do it. but dont make alienware look bad by posting unfair and untrue statements. this isnt a bias forum :) because that 15k isnt their most advanced GAMING system. it is their most EVERYTHING system. you dont need a webcam for gaming. or the learning and essentials bundles. a lot of that stuff doesnt even fall in the gaming catergory. that system is for someone who is going to be doing a hell of a lot more things than gaming lol. they set you up with their best "gaming" system on the front page. the alienware gamer extreme or whatever. and with the athlon 64 im guessing its between 3k-4k but cmon....its better than any dell and gateway gaming system ill bet you that.
