I wanted to download Wine or WineX to run some programs on Linux. First of all what is the big difference betweeen Wine and WineX. WineX is made by Transgaming and based on Wine, right? Also, I went to winehq.com, to download it. From there one of the mirrors was sourceforge.net. Which file should I download? I use Red Hat, so I should download an RPM, right?
Thanks in advance

Is ther no answer? Also, if you have the choice between a binary or the source to compile yourself, why would you choose the source? Isn't it just more work?
Thanks again. Please reply

WineX is wine with directx support to run games. (wine also runs some games).
For redhat you should download an rpm if you don't want to compile it, and a source file if you want to compile it.
Compiling from source gives you a program build for your machine, so it is faster in executing. If you are new to linux, just go with an rpm.
