Fonts

When I go to visit certain web pages that require certain fonts, the characters appear as boxes rather than the fonts. I have downloaded and installed the latest fonts the web site requires and it still doesn't work. Is there any way I can solve this problem?

Also, I have noticed that whenever I start specific program the characters I type appear as boxes. Hope this helps!
