I heard that I can get linux on a foppy that runs only on RAM. Where can I get a copy?

You can get Coyote Linux (http://www.coyotelinux.com/modules.php?name=Products&op=coyote) that will work. There are plenty others like Knoppix and SlackLive that will run off of a CD, which is generally a better choice.
