no event sound

Hello, i use XP and a soundblaster Live! 5.1 card. I can play music CD's or any video that i download from the net, but i can't get any Windoze sounds or flash websites sounds. I made sure nothing is mute in volume ctrl, the latest drivers have been re-installed, but still it doesn't work. Any clues?

go to tools then internet option then click on the tab that says advanced scroll down and see if you have sound enabled in that if not check and then see if it works.

Yes it's already checked. Still no Windows sound. Anyone??
