Pay for Spyware protection?

I downloaded a free spyware scanner last night (Spy nuker and Spy Hunter) and it lists the location of each spyware program as its scanning. It won't delete the spyware unless you buy the package, but what's the point in buying spyware protection when you can scan for free and manually remove the spyware yourself? Am I missing something?

Ad aware and Spybot Search and Destroy are free and they both find and remove spyware.

Both programs are also updated frequently (also for free)/

Just go with ad-aware and spybot. You can even throw AVG into the list from www.grisoft.com.

AdAware and Spybot do a good job and are totally free.

Yeah it's all about Ad Aware and Spybot....the cool thing about Spy Bot is that it has an immunize feature!
