lo all,

a friend of mine is getting 'no signal' on mobo ... msi 745 ultra and asrock k7s8x
we tried out different cpu's , videocards , soundcards , psu's and hd's
nothing worked..at the end we resetted cmos by jumper-reset(didnt remove battery though)..didn't help anything ...

are these mobo's compatible with athlon xp 2600+ or the 2400+ cause these cpu's i've used.... well he did i'm helping on remote ... :)
plss help cause all these ythings are brand new :'( this guy is totally freakin out offcourse , not knowing anything about pc's :s

Did he try a different monitor? If he doesn't have another, maybe he could borrow one from a friend or family member.

The MSI board only supports up to a 2000+; I haven't checked for BIOS updates for it to see if it may support faster processors.

well it stays unsolved i guess....even in the shop they didn't know it :s bad shop thus ..
all this on new hardware ppff, this friend of mine put together a new one again without faults, but what should we do with the other ones? we really don't know whats wrong...we can try a rma but in the shop they said it could take a long while, and maybe its better to look a bit further into this matter...
what do u all think about this?

try removing the cmos battery for 20 min and then replace it and reboot

Pull the motherboard from the case and try to get the system going that way. HAL9000's handy dandy new build troubleshooter (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12753).
