I'm looking for some freeware that can safeguard the entire contents of a folder from prying eyes. I've been using Norton Secret Stuff but it will only protect one file at a time and not an entire folder and its contents.
( Family spies on the home network!!)
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks- most are 30 day shareware and I'm trying Data Cloak.
Why your disclaimer? You doubt their security is good?

There are some freeware apps in there .. the disclaimer is that I've found nasty workarounds in a lot of these free/trialware security apps. Plus they are very bad at getting uninstalled.

PGP though good, has 2 drawbacks at present not very good in batch encryption, individual files are good but at batch they are cumbersome .. and worse .. have u ever seen the encrypted filesize vs original?

To put it in perspective, here's what u should do that would work rather well . use something like WinACE or its worse performing cousin WinZip and compress the entire directory with a password, sure its not nearly on the fly decryption, but then again what is?
