View Full Version : Xbox, PS2, or Gamecube?

Which one do you think is better. Yes, I have know the PS2 has more games but it has also been out much longer. Here are some reasons why I prefer the Xbox. You don't need memory cards for an Xbox. However, if you want to play at a friends house you can buy one. The Xbox has online gaming. Xbox Live is amazing. The graphics are amazing. (I know graphics aren't everything but they are amazing) I like many of the games out today and coming out soon. For some reason I never liked the Playstation. I never liked the contoller and I never saw any games that really interested me. I think the Game cube is for kids. It's purple for one thing. (I know it comes in other colors) The controllers are way to small, uncomfortable, and cheap looking. I lover the Xbox controllers. They are very comfortable. I am hopefully getting an Xbox and I wanted to hear your opinions just for kicks.

Having GBA, GC, Xbox, PS2. I vote Ps2:
Ps2 controller is the best among the three. Big hands, there are big controllers.
EA online games ONLY for PS2. all the madden, nba, nfs. etc
PS2 has most games, including PS1. RPG's.
Grphics:best is Xbox, but really the 128bit techonlogy, I think its a little hard to differentiate it. Try playing ZOE: 2runner for the PS2. Visually stunning.
For the new Xbox-they it ships with the new controllers,the one which mS design for Asia-small hands. You should try the original controller.
I rest my case :)

PS2. I'd rather have a selection of good games and a comfortable controller. Never did any online gaming with a console, and probably never will, so I don't bother to look at that factor.

I have never figured out why so many people don't like the Xbox controller. I find it to be very comfortable. I odn't have very big hands either. The Playstation controller hurts my hands.

XBOX XBOX XBOX
XBOX is king! PS2 doesnt even have a HDD. You need to pay lost of $ for a tiny 32 meg memory card. And whats with that controler? Thers no resistance in those joysticks. And dont even get me started on the graphics. And then gamecube is a joke(no online!?). For me its xbox all the way.(less games but better games) Oh, if you did not already know im a xbox addict :) (they dont have paches for that)

I like my GC and I feel that it is the best. Although I have never played Xbox, I have played PS2, and still prefer the GC. But I am a bit biased I guess because I have always prefered Nintendo to the other gaming console makers, like Sega (in the past) or Sony.

The PS2 is good but I voted for the X-Box because of graphics and also that it will last longer since the PS2 is bceoming obselete. Ive had a Gamecube but I sold it, I dont like it.

Consoles don't seem to become obsolete as quicly as PC components do ;) The next Gen consoles are due out in '06, I believe. PS2 gets my vote; reason because it has the best variety of the best games. I could care less how many pixels Xbox can show me. I'd rather play a good game of Sonic and Knuckes on my trusty Genesis, than to play some awful game on Xbox that looks great.... Don't want to start a flame war.. BTW, I own both PS2, and Xbox.... .
And Backwards compatibility rocks....

no hd on PS2. There are two solutions;
1. The HD is out, you can buy it with a game bundled to it. FFXI comes with it. Second-buy PSX. Its a home enterntainment system. Does everything the xbox can, and much more
