I have a notebook pc with windows xp and wireless network built in. I have set up a wireless internet connection using a LinkSys Wireless Broadband router and it is incredible. I can surf at broadband speeds from just about anywhere near my home that the 2.4ghz can signal can reach! My question is:

Is there a way to transfer file from my pc to my notebook using what I have? If not, is it possible to do the same using the network cable that I have? If neither of these options are possible now, what would I need to do that the fastest way. I have a lot of music, photos, etc that I would like to transfer to my notebook. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

You don't mention any specifics of your PC, such as OS and whether or not it's hooked up to your network in any, but the basic answer is yes, sharing files between the two is very easy.

On the machine you want to share stuff from (assuming it's xp also) just right click on the folder you want to share and select the sharing option. Configuring it from that point on is relatively straightforward. if not, let us know.

Once that's done you can go to your Network neighborhood on the laptop and browse through to the folder you shared.
