I have 2 computers on my network. One is useing Windows 2000 and the other Windows 98se. When I'm browseing the network on the 98se computer and click on the win2000 computer I get prompted for a password. The problem is that I never set up a password and was never asked to make one. Were do I find out what the password is?

On the win2000 computer I had to make a username and password for the other computer.
Thats what I originaly thought I had to do but I was thrown off because it was only asking for a password. But then I remembered that whenever the win98 computer would start up it would give you a username and ask for a password, but it would log you in no matter what pass you put in. Finaly I put 2 and 2 together and made an account on the win2000 computer useing the username that was on the other computer.

If you had changed the network connection to "Windows Logon", I think it would have gotten rid of the password screen. That's on the 98 machine. Works for ME too.
