Hi, Im trying to get my network going. Ive got a router (wireless access point with 4 port switch) I hooked up one computer to the router (wired) and it had no problems. I have internet, and the works. My second computer (windows xp) Is going to be wireless. After working on it for quite a while, i got the second computer (wireless) to see, and connect to the network, But i cant see the other computer, nor can i access the internet? Im not sure what im doing, so any help would be awesome?

can you ping the router
I am assuming that you ran 'Setup small office or home network'? Also, to see the other computer a folder needs to be shared and possibly, firewall needs to be turned off. Is the computer showing the the wireless card has adequate signal strength?

Bailey: No I can't ping the router.
Prew: I didnt use Setup small office or home network. I havent installed any firewalls. And the signal strength sits at about 45 - 50 percent which should be adequate.
On my computer (wireless) It says taht i am connected when i got to Wireless network connections. And yet when i access the router (from my other computer) It lists the DHCP client list and only one computer is on it? Its like the second computer isnt connected to the network, even though it says it is???

The first thing to do is to tell us about your networking hardware ... router model and make? NIC? OS?>
