i have a problem!


FREAKING LAGGYNESS.

i dont understand 1 i have a gig of ram (ddr) and gf4mx40(crappy) and a amd 2200+ 1.8 and iam still lagging i even put the video and sound settings on low :( plus i just reformatted my hd so there is nothing on it :|! any suggestions please help

You mess with any virtual memory settings? You tweak anything? you have a HD with 2MB cache? they have any patches for the game? you do a BIOS update? are you lagging online or singleplayer?

I don't think the GF4 MX 420 64mb.Video is very good for gaming.Get the Ati 9600 pro 128mb, less than $200.

check for virus/trojan/spyware/adware. i too think that your video card is a realy bottle neck

break out some bucks and get this from Newegg.com $189, free shipping. ATI RADEON 9600XT Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP -RETAIL, Core Speed: RADEON 9600XT/500MHz. Memory/Effective Speed: 128MB DDR/600MHz hard to beat for the money.

i get the same thing. its really annoying. well, i just close call of duty, then open it, and then its alot faster, but sometimes its still lagged, so i repeat the process. close, open.

and i have good computer too
2.66ghz
1gb memory
fx 5600
120 gb

I'm having no problems- in fact I just finsihed all levels about 2 days ago!

I'm running a standard HP pavilion 713a with the following specs-
PIV, 2.0GHz, 768mb RAM and a standard Intel Extreme Graphics 64mb viedo card....

It sounds to me like another issue with your machine, not the specs....
