What happens if you have a computer that
1. Has a fairly new virus,
2. Does not allow you to connect to the Internet.
3. You then install Avg antivirus though it doesn't include the latest antivirus definitions which you need to get rid of the virus.
You can't upgrade the virus definitions from the computer because you can't get net access.
If you install Avg on that infected system, would it update the new virus definitions from a floppy or CD that you used to save the latest virus definitions too that were downloaded/upgraded when you were running avg on your second virus free computer.
Would anyone know which files those are that contain the virus updates that would need to be transferred or could you just transfer the whole Avg folder to the infected PC.
