Still in the planning stages of my first build (intel).....

What does every one think about onboard graphics? I do not do any real heavy gaming, but I would like my new build to be able to handle some video editing (like transferring video tapes to DVD and transferring video camera stuff to DVD). Other than that, I am doing basic stuff like office apps, surfing, ect.

Thanks!
Preston

Edit: Thinking about a MB with Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (or suggestions)

Well without knowing what motherboard your planning to use ...all I can say is that anything prior or less than N-force 2 Ge-force 4 MX onboard video would probably be very dissapointing.
you can get a good board such as THIS (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-150-041&catalog=22&depa=1) one or possibly THIS (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-138-234&catalog=22&depa=1)

I've built a couple systems with Intel onboard graphics and they've worked fine for light gaming and the video applications you describe. You can always add a higher quality graphics card later if you aren't satisfied with the onboard. Just make sure the card you get has an AGP slot for future expansion.

Here's the card I used.
