Hi
Can anyone tell me how can I burn a CD if I just have a combo CD drive and no other CD drive. Im using a laptop.
The problem is that I wanna burn a new music CD from an original one, but I just have a CD drive instead of 2.
Thanks

With a combo drive you will always burn from a file or group of files already on your hard drive. Copy the music or data you wish to burn to the hard drive, then burn it back to a blank CD-R (or CD-RW) using the software in your system. (ie: Nero, CD Creator).

Thanks for your answer
However, when I copy the music files from the CD to my hard drive, they cannot be played. Please help me. Thanks alot
You need to use the CD copy function of your burning program. Just copying the cda files to hard drive won't work.

Hi
I use Nero. Can you please tell me how. If you have YIM, please chat with me, my nickname is : flashmxaddict. Thanks
No, I only have ICQ. But it is pretty simple. Do you have the new Nero 6 ? It comes with Nero StartSmart or something like that I believe. So all you need is to select CD copy.

My ICQ number is 333165209
I have Nero SmartStart. As you guided, I choose Copy disc in Copy and Back up and it's copying now. After all the music files are copied, how can I locate them and put them on a new CD ? Thanks

You don't have to locate anything. After the source disc is copied, Nero will eject the source disc and instruct you to insert a blank disc into the drive. It will then automatically copy the CD contents from the temp file it used to the blank CD. At the end of the process, it will delete the temp file.
