this is a pc ive been having a lot of trouble with. AVG anti virus is on it, and it constantly is popping up, saying there is some virus. So i run a scan, delete what it finds, and it just keeps popin up with it. I tried turning off system restore, but every time it deletes the infected files they come right back. Same pc is also having troule with spyware and adware. Random Pop ups when its not on the internet. I ran spy bot and ad-aware but every time i do, and i delete the problems they find, i run the scan again and the same problems come up. So im out of ideas, anyone got a sugestion.

What is the name of the virus?

What operating system? If it's Win XP, try starting the computer in safe mode with networking support and scan using Housecall's online virus scan. Also, go to Start/Run and type services.msc and disable windows messenger.

Boot to safe mode and run Ad-aware and Spybot.

Go to www.moosoft.com and download The Cleaner and run it.

also make sure that spyware, adaware and AVG definitions are up to date.

once you run spybot and it cleans your pc reboot and run it again. Then use the immunize feature of spybot.

check your privacy settings, might be set too low.

nuke and pave = reformat and reinstall Windows. LAST resort.
