The Asus must be an excellent board because so many people here use it, recommend it, and speak highly of it. I don't know much about the AOpen board, but I've heard that they make good products (the CDRW I have is an AOpen and it's good). Here (http://hardocp.com/article.html?art=NDkzLDI=) is a review of the AOpen board.

Asus seems to have more of a reputation than AOpen. What is the difference in price? If it's close I'd go with Asus.

AOpen motherboards are good quality motherboards and run very stable at stock speeds...they just don't overclock very well.
