I have two different AMD CPU chip. One is a 85o and the other one is 2000. How do I find out if they are 100 or 133mhz also if I have a motherboard that accepts 1500 max. if I try to use the 2000 chip will it work??

The 2000+ XP is a 133MHz processor. For the 850MHz, look on the CPU die for the indentification. Here's a web page (http://www.amdboard.com/amdid.html) to help you figure out the die code.

The chip will work b/c I believe they have the same vcore requirements, but if the mobo only supports upto 1500, then the CPU will only go 1500. I believe your talking about the XP "1500+" right?

850 cpu was 100Mhz and the 2000XP worked on that motherboard, had to set jumpers to 133Mhz and the speed MAX at 1600 because of the M/B

Thanks
