I'm finally playing through some of my games I received for Christmas, one of them being Jedi Academy. This game is great! If anyone out there liked Jedi Outcast, you will love jedi academy. Every level is different and detailed (as much as the Q3 engine will allow). And because it uses the Q3 engine, you can up the graphics to play at awesome resolutions with good fram rates. Plus, you get to use double sabers or a dual bladed saber and in the end get to choose to be on the light or dark side. I think it's a little short but good for a game that started out only as an expansion. I recommend this game to everyone, especially Jedi Knight fans of the previous games. (Did I mention the game has some rag-doll physics? I noticed it right away in the first level. And in the first level you get to use a lightsaber!)

Every review I've seen so far about it gave it the thumbs down. Seems as though it doesn't have a good storyline like in JKII.
It didn't help in the reviews either that they said "JA uses the aging QIII engine", which went to say that it isn't as interactive as it could or should be.
To each his own. I'm still thinking about getting it :p

Well I was a big fan of Outcast and recommend it to all fans of the previous game. Every level is different, and slashing around newborn and pushing stormtroopers off ledges never gets old, especially with the new dual sabers. While I'm not voting it game of the year, I'm just saying for Star Wars fans to not pass up this fun game.
I thought the game was fun- although not that challenging- at least not against the stormtroopers (they just don't have a chance once you develop force powers)
Actually, most reviews said the game was very good (average rating is 81%)
