would it be foolish to use norton anti virus 2003 when they now have 2004 out? or will 2003 work just fine?

it would work fine as long as you keep the virus definitions up to date.

dave is right, jimmy. I had purchased a copy of NAV back in May, 2003 version, but didn't install it til I built this new system in November. It's good for 1 year no matter when the 1 year clock starts tickin'. It'll update to all the current standards.

I'm still running 2003 on my boxes
2003 works just fine, but there's issues with 2004 - I'd recommend you stick with 2003 for now.

GLC, what's wrong with NAV 2004 ?, I have it running on 4 systems now and the one thing I have noticed is that my PC's are much slower than with NAV 2003. On these 4 PC's Intel 815's with Tualatin 1.3/1.4 Celey's 384 - 512 ram 2004 has added 30 seconds to bootup time !! On 5 of my other PC's (same specs) I have changed over to AVG 7 Professional because of these speed issues.
