It's snowing here in Washington State. I have 15 inches at my house. That may sound like nothing to you people over in the east but It hasn't snowed this much here for years. I5 is a mess and everyone is out of work. People are sledding on ironing boards and laundry baskets. It's crazy. Tonight there was freezing rain and now everything is coated in a quarter inch of ice. If that's not bad enough, now it's supposed to turn to rain. That spells flooding. Bad flooding. Schools may be closed all week. It hasn't gone above 28 degrees for a week now and I have the heat on full blast. It has been one crazy weather year now moving into the next. First a mild winter then a burning hot summer, then terrential record breaking rains, then record breaking flooding, record breaking winds, and now record breaking temperatures and snow. What is next?

Seriously, I know how you feel. Right before Christmas, here in Northern Oklahoma, we got a foot of snow dumped on us in one night! I go to bed...nothing out there. I wake up the next morning...I have thigh-high snow drifts in my yard because the wind blew like hell along with the snow. That's all melted already, but now we've got really cold temperatures (for Oklahoma anyway). Last night it went down to 4°F and the wind chill was -12°F. It made your face hurt just to stand facing the wind for a few seconds.

I feel your pain, Hi Ho. We've been really luck in West Michigan - until Monday. The temp drop into the single digits and it's been snowing since Sunday nite. We've only got 6-10 inches on the ground, but we had a blizzard warning all afternoon today as the winds ranged from 30-40 mph. I was making sales calls in the stuff and visibility was less that 1/8 mile at times. Every school function and community meeting was canceled. Crazy stuff.
