Can anyone recommend a good credit reporting service? I've found one that gives a report from 3 bureaus and a score from each of the 3 bureaus for $29.95, at www.e-credit-report.com. It's random though, sometimes they charge another $5 bucks for the 3 scores from each bureau. You have to keep going into the web page and play it by luck.

Does anyone know of a better place with same service for same or better price? I don't like the above's purchasing interface. I've ordered 3 so far (different people from different computers) and each time we've encountered error pages. Then we end up having to make a phone call and hold in line for 20 minutes to straighten it out.

Go to www.equifax.com and you can always get all 3 reports, as well as your score for $29.99. They are very trustworthy, as they are one of the 3 credit reporting agencies.

I've gotten it from Equifax too, IIRC. What state are you in? You may be entitled to a free report under your state's laws.

Unfortunately, New York isn't one of the states where residents can get a free credit report (those states are Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Vermont).

If you have been denied credit in the past 60 days you can get a copy for free as well. I have done this. In fact, if you really don't want to pay, you can easily fill out an application for a credit card, enter in an annual income that is too low, be denied, and then get your credit report for free.

If you don't mind taking a litte quiz (3 ?'s I think) you can get a free credit report/score from equifax. Link follows:

Thanks for the link! That saves $12, and its the full report with score from Equifax. The quiz took me less than a minute to complete.

I hear that Washington State has passed a law for free credit reports but I can't find anything at their .gov site. Anybody have any info on this?
