So you are unable to make downloads? Does Flash work correctly for you? You have Win98?

triggerblade - here's a copy-and-paste of a reply I posted over in the Win98 forum. I'll put any future posts here in this one, so you'll only have one forum to check [easier for all of us :)]

"Might want to run an antivirus scan with updated definitions, since there's a new worm out that's wreaking some havoc this week. Spreads through MSN Messenger.

Other than that, see if trying replacing that file in safe mode helps: here's a link with some other folks with related errors - the download link is about six or seven replies down the page: http://www.mytechsupport.ca/support...p?TOPIC_ID=2039

Post again if that doesn't help fix it

Are you overclocking?"

. . . Another option for getting the file is to use the version on your Win98se installation disk - from Start/Run, type sfc (for "System File Checker"), and place a checkmark in the option box "extract one file from disk" and then point it to the optical drive containing your Win98se disk. If you don't have a Win98se disk, but have the cab files in C:\Windows\Options\Cabs, point System File Checker there for the file extraction.

The exact name of the file should be MSIMG32.DLL (in your post you have an extra M after the S = such a file doesn't exist, as far as Win98se system files go).

Let us know if you're still having trouble after trying these fixes, & we'll see if there's another approach to try

[p.s. - you asked what Flash is = it's an IE plugin that enables certain multimedia formats to play in your browser (very popular for animated ads, but it has many other applications as well) --- it's software parent is MacroMedia, the same folks who created Director]

If the shortcut in your Programs menu works, right-click on it and select "Copy", the move your mouse pointer over to the spot on your desktop where you'd like the shortcut, right-click, and select "Paste Shortcut".

That should do it
