OK, I'v seen the ads for dial-up to Surf the web 3 to 5 times faster than regular dial-up.
I really didn't think anything of it. Now I have relatives calling me asking about it. Sounds like a gimic to me.
So, does it really work? Is it worth the few extra bucks they want for the service?

As you can try it for free, why not give it a whirl.
What you'll find is,it does speed up web browsing, but will not speed up downloads.

My experience with it is that they save the web pages to your temp internet files on your first visit to the site so that if you go back later on in the day and they have updated the site, your computer just loads your temp file and doesn't see the updated web page. They may have improved it since I left (to look for web site updates and to compare it with your temp file) but I haven't heard of anything like that yet.

It just uses a bunch of tricks that you can do yourself, 56k or less is still what you are going to get no matter what.
