I look at it this way... are we a tech board or a place to put on a display of emoticons?

I think what exists now conveys what needs to be. If you need something specific, just hotlink from a smilie server. ;)

Eleven smilies is probably more than you really even need ;).

If you want to play with smilies, go find a chat room. This is a tech board.

Yeah, there's no need to go excessive with smilies. These do what they need to do. Im actually rather impressed with some of the topic icons here.

Gee, how did you know? LOL!

this is exactly why we shouldn't have more smilies, when new users find a wide selection of smilies, they'll start spamming them, and posts become unreadable, I've seen this in many gaming forums with a lot of smilies.

And I think the current selection is more than enough.

I just bought "Build you own pc" and having a problem downloading. I clicked download but when I tried to open, it said the buildpc.exe was not a valid win32 application. Any suggestions?!?!

Smiles are terrible. We should have none; they make everything miserable.

Not really. They are necessary to express those feelings words are not enough for.

I agree that the number of smilies is right, though.

Why are we even talking about "smiles" with all do respect to everyone but it is really pissing me off! Are we here to talk about PC Mechanics, solution to common problems, or are we here to @$%@$% chat? Last time I check this wasn't Instant Messaging or Yahoo Mansenger! I need advice regarding software, tweaks for XP, New Technology, hardware, information! not to show "emotions" and by the way 11 smile icons is more than enough!

I am not a cold hearted bastard either! I love to smile. There is time for everything! smile, cry, be a smart ass, etc. right now is time to learn and exchange information about PCs

Let's keep the funny stuff to the general discussion forum.
