I am planning to connect two computers in a network using
crossover cabels and Microsoft ICS. PC-1 has Win ME installed
and PC-2 has Win 2000. My cable modem is installed on
PC-1. I know that Microsoft ICS is to be installed on PC-1.
My question is, "what do I have to do to PC-2 (with win 2000) whenever I get my cables connected? Can I network with
2 different OS's using Microsoft ICS?

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
All you need to do on the Win2000 machine is set it to obtain IP address automatically and you will have Internet access. For filesharing, you simply set that up normally - same workgroup, etc.
This said, you would be much better off buying an inexpensive router to share the cable modem with than using ICS.
