i have a P4 1.6 CPU with a MSI 645E Max-C MOBO with the SiS 645DX Chipset. how much and what speed RAM do i need to be able to OC this as far as possible.
in the future i want to expiriment with a watercooling system on it so i don't want anything to bottleneck when i get that far.
thanks for the help.
PC2700, the overclocked FSB and the memory clock on that chipset tops out at 166 so anything faster is a waste. Amount is up to you, the chipset supports 3 gigs.

ok thanks glc, for right now i think i'll get 256mb or so.
on that site you linked me to, whats the difference in DDR333 and DDR333 - Dual? there are so many kinds of RAM that i can't remember which is which.
That chipset doesn't support dual channel DDR, so that's also a waste. DDR333 = PC2700.
I'd recommend at least 512mb if you are planning on running WinXP.
