Hello all, I have had a wireless router for a while now, but never really been satisfied. I'm an avid gamer and into games such as Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Anyways, when I use my wireless adapter for my desktop, I will get freeze ups for about 5-10 seconds every 2 minutes or so. So.. I connect to my wireless router via cat-5. Now, the lag spikes dont occur when I'm using this setup.. but... I do encounter problems. One example is on Mirc I will be disconnected after just a few minutes with the error "Ping Timeout." Also, I will be disconnected from Battle.net(the provider of online gaming for Warcraft 3) often. And when I join an online game in WC3, I am often disconnected immediately after joining. Anyway know of any solutions to these problems?

Anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

Wireless routers are half-duplex, and also not nearly as fast as wired connections. I personally don't find it that unusual that you have issues with applications that need low latency. Why not run a wire?
