okay guys here is my case .. am helping some one in deciding wether he should stay on ics or move to the router ,
he have 2 computers .. #1 son pc , #2 his pc both computers are fast and new and the #1 pc is shaering the internet connection wich is cable modem , the son uses his pc for muliplayer gaming ,lots of uploads and downloads , and browsing , this kinda stuf , the father uses his pc for web browsing ,emails , and uses lime wire to download few music , thats about it .. lets not ferget the conection gose from the modem to the son pc then to the father pc using crossover cable and windows ICS enabled ,, the only complain is the father pc 2 ,, get disconected if the son try to restart his pc wich is no big deal couz it dont happen alot ,, they were asking me if a router is a good idea to go for ,, but am not sure if its good couz we are only using 2 pcs , and maybe not worth all what we have to go thru configring the router and fire wall work good with the son activity ,.,, what do u guys think .
