I need a little help...
Im looking for a sound card that has an output for an optical cable to plug into my stereo receiver.

Problem is every card i see that claims to have "spdif" support doesnt seem to have an optical cable output.

Maybe spdif means something else and im mistaken..Either way can you guys tell me of a card that would have an optical digital out.. im looking at newegg.com and tigerdirect.com and ebay.. im looking to get it for under 30$ I dont mind if its used ,or not a good name brand.

((oh coaxial digital is fine as well ))

spdif is coaxial digital.

S/PDIF can be either coax or optical (toslink). S/PDIF is simply a consumer level digital interface. AES/EBU is the professional digital interface and is usually coax but I've seen it XLR and optical.

The Audigy2 ZS has optical connections or you could get a converter like this one (http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/audio_toslink_adapters.html#co2) from CO2.
