Hello again
I'm having an error come up occasionally when I go to run and type in sys config the error says "Environment variables were found in the legacy files AUTOEXEC.BAT and/or CONFIG.SYS and the variables were moved to the registry". now I have upgraded from win 98 to ME and the only problem I have been having is that the comp. isn't able to go into standby mode (I've tried everything). Is this something I need to address or do you know if it's related to my standby problem. so you know my autoexec.bat has files in them and my config.sys is empty.
thanks in advance for any help

That's normal in ME when you run msconfig, not an error.

Standby is not worth the hassles.

your standby problem could be caused by a non-ECPI power supply.

mine wouldnt come back out of sleep (crashed when it tried), when i bought a more beefy psu, sleep mode worked fine (new psu is ECPI compliant)

hope this is some help
