I just received the Lexmark P707 Inkjet Printer. The only problem is that the installation CD was not in the box. I have tried calling customer support and waited about 30 minutes and then hung up. I have e-mailed them twice, and all I get is an automatic response that someone will get back to me in one business day. Until I actually get a replacement install CD, I went to thier website and downloaded the appropriate driver.
The printer does work etc. but nothing happens when I insert a memory stick from my digital camera. There was probably additional software on the CD that I do not yet have. Also when I boot up the computer, Windows XP Pro tells me it found new hardware and is looking for 7-4-1 I have no idea what that is, except it probably has something to do to make the rest of the printer featues work properly. Any suggestions where to find this 7-4-1

Contact the VENDOR that sold you the printer to get the software or to exchange it, that's not Lexmark's responsibility.

Have you tried the Lexmark site, there are drivers and a utility listed for the printer at the link below.
By the way, was the printer you got a returned one that did not have everything with it? If so return it to the store, get a refund or at least an open box discount from the manager, and if they will not go for one, shop somewhere else.

glc and morriswindgate---my wife bought the printer from Home shopping Club on the TV. we called them and they said they wpuld contact Lexmark.
I finally got a reply from Lexmark, they will send me a replacement CD as soon as I furnish them additional info.
Thanks for the replies !!
