I have a really weird problem with IE. After filling in a form that has text boxes IE will freeze for about 30seconds when you click the 'OK', 'NEXT', etc. button. The button looks like it is depressed. For example, when i click the 'Submit Now' button after typing this post, It will look like it is depressed for 30sec before IE actually does anything.
This gets really annoying. I have tried everything. upgrading Direct X (i now have version 8), tyring about 10 different drivers for my ASUS V7700 (Geforce2 GTS) video card, and using different versions of IE (i am now using 5.5). The problem only happens in IE, it does not occur in Netscape. But i like IE much better then netscape. any ideas? Also, the problem occurs on both Win 98 and Win ME, but not on Win 2K. I am running windows ME right now. The problem also occurs on both of my computers. Thanks in advance!

There could be a few factors involved, mainly invoking of the script that the submission button involves. But here are a few things you can try.. clear out the Autocomplete cache [Tools > Internet options > Content > Autocomplete ] or try filling forms with autocomplete turned off. It is highly likely that is causing the slowdown. IE, caches information on text boxes [not textareas].
Cheers
