Does anyone know if these 2 game pads work on Windows XP?

Logitech Dual Action USB (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=11,CONTENTID=6951)

Microsoft Sidewinder Game Pad USB (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/sidewinder/GamepadUSB.asp)

I read in various places that these controllers are not compatible wth WinXP, and yet, on many other sites, they claim they are. I want a definitive answer (so i come to the fine folks at PCMech :D )

Thanks

Logitech: Click on "Features" on the right, read, and it says:

PC Requirements:
PC with Pentium® processor or compatible
64 MB RAM
20 MB of available hard disk space
CD-ROM drive
USB port
Windows® 98, 2000, Me, or XP

Microsoft: Click on SYS. REQ. and it says:

To use Microsoft® SideWinder® Game Pad USB, you need:
Multimedia personal computer with Pentium 166 MHz or higher processor and USB port
Microsoft Windows® 98 or later operating system
Windows 98 or later-based games only

Clicking on Support, then Compatibility:

Compatible operating systems

The SideWinder Game Pad USB is compatible with Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.

I keep finding versions of the gamepad that use the joystick connection on a soundcard. Are those sidewinders compatible with XP?

My Sidewinder 3D Pro is a gameport joystick and Win2K sees it with no driver load required - plug and play. I would *assume* XP would see it too as long as XP sees the gameport. 2K saw the gameport on my old Creative AWE64.
