Does your keyboard require a special driver/software, like MS Intelllipoint? Check your Device Manager for conflicts? Try reloading the Keyboard driver or delete the keyboard in device manager and reboot, windows should find it again and assign a driver.
Keyboard drivers have nothing to do with the POST error and are not required except to enable extra buttons within Windows. This error is at the hardware level - a failing keyboard or PS/2 port - or a keyboard bios that's starting to corrupt - or simply a loose or dirty connection.
Is this a PS/2 or a USB keyboard?

Every time (just a handful) I've run into that, it's been a bad cord from the keyboard the PS/2 port, usually right at the port as that's where it get bend.
