Windows XP seems I haven't updated my video driver since May of last year. Ok this may or may not be a bad thing, I think I remember reading somewhere you should only upgrade drivers if you are having trouble. Well having trouble with Spellforce (real good game btw) It says to remove the old drivers I can do that through the add/remove software in the control panel right? Then restart and install drivers? Is that the correct procedure let me know don't change em that often cause it scares me :) Posted it here cause didn't seem to fit anywhere else feel free to enlighten me.

You don't remove drives through the Add/Remove Porgrams panel, you remove them through Device Manager. You can also install new drivers from there. Just open Device Manager and go to your video adapter.

Wait. Depending on your video card, yes, you DO remove the drivers by uninstalling from add/remove in control panel.
Don't be afraid to do it, just uninstall, restart, and when prompted, install the new.

First off thanks for all the replies and help. I did remove the driver from the device manager. Once I figured out how to open the device manager. :) I have a Radeon series video card (8500 64mb I think) I then restarted the computer and istalled the catalyst driver package I downloaded from the ati page. Restarted computer and it seemed to work as usual. Started game got to crash point (was giveing a fatal execption error message about a device failure) Got a message from an ATI program saying card encountered a problem would I like to send report to ATI? Did that game was windowed, restored the game and it was still running so guess I kinda fixed it. The part it crashes on is a movie that occurs at that spot in the game. Game is spellforce actually very intresting mix of a lot of differnt types of games. Thanks again.:D
